Jono Kenyon

Director

Jono has over 2 decade’s experience lighting high profile events and exhibitions at some of the most prestigious and iconic venues around the world.  

Starting his career at the Young Vic whilst still at school, Jono went on to study Theatre Design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, (BA Hons) 

Jono toured extensively worldwide working on hundreds of productions for companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Society, National theatre and The Royal Opera House.   

Following theatre, Jono worked on live music events, lighting bands including Placebo, Faithless, Maroon 5 and Estelle. 

Jono also worked on many site specific events and immersive experiences and was responsible for lighting the first 5 years of Secret Cinema events. 

In 2010 Jono specialised in exhibition lighting, designing and fabricating lighting installations in galleries and museums. 

With this wealth of experience Jono founded Beam Lighting Design Ltd in 2016.  Since its formation Beam LD has quickly become established, counting venues such as Somerset House, the Design Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum as clients.  

With unparalleled technical expertise and industry knowledge, together with an eye for beautiful lighting design, Jono works meticulously to ensure the successful delivery of unique and innovative lighting solutions to each and every project.  


Lucy Record

Senior Lighting Designer

Lucy has extensive experience delivering creative, bespoke lighting design.  

After studying Theatre Design at Central St Martins (MSC), Lucy honed her lighting skills in London’s theatre scene before joining the Akram Khan Dance Company on an International Tour. 

Lucy went on to work for Imagination, designing the lighting of large-scale events for brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Canon and Bloomberg.   

In 2016 Lucy earned a Masters in Lighting at The Bartlett, UCL in which she focused on the environmental impact of lighting. 

Lucy has since designed for many museum exhibitions, high-profile events and TV.   

She is highly collaborative, working closely with clients, suppliers and technicians to create innovative and beautiful lighting solutions. 

Lucy is passionate about integrating narrative into the lighting scheme, using the dynamics of light to bring ideas to life.


Katherine Palley

Studio Manager

Katherine has a background working in project management and communications for organisations such a Pearson, Department for Transport and the NHS.   

At Beam she is responsible for supporting the business with administration, operations and communications. 


Production Crew

Our experienced production team consists of project managers and freelancers from the lighting industries. We have worked with many of them for decades. They are adept at solution finding and working closely with creative partners and clients.
