NIGO: From Japan with Love is the world's first global retrospective on the groundbreaking designer and ⁠Kenzo Artistic Director. Featuring over 700 archival and personal objects tracing his 30-year career, this landmark showcase maps his evolution from a teenage DJ in 1980s Japan to a global pioneer bridging streetwear and luxury fashion.

The lighting concept was developed to echo the visual language of fashion retail, transforming the galleries into a refined, shop-like environment that enhances both the exhibits and the exhibition's narrative. In collaboration with USM, Beam designed a bespoke lighting solution integrated into the display system, using dimmable 4000K linear LED luminaires with magnetic fixing. Engineered for easy installation, removal, and reuse, the system embodies Beam's commitment to circular design, ensuring that every lighting solution is conceived with future adaptability and sustainability in mind.
