This is the first major London exhibition dedicated to M.C. Escher, bringing together more than 150 original works from across the artist’s career. The exhibition explores the themes that made Escher famous, from landscapes and tessellations to impossible constructions and mind-bending visual paradoxes.

Our lighting scheme was designed to enhance the visitor experience while meeting the conservation requirements of the works on display. By carefully highlighting the detail and craftsmanship of Escher’s drawings and prints, the lighting helps bring the artist’s extraordinary imagination and distinctive visual language to life throughout the exhibition.
