10 Degrees, Croydon is the tallest modular skyscraper in the world.  Constructed by stacking prefabricated ‘pods’ on top of one another, the tower stands at 44 storeys high and is a prominent new feature of Croydon and its surrounding areas. Providing 546 residential apartments with flexible working spaces, as well as amenities such as a rooftop gym, games room, cinema and communal terraces, 10 Degrees has been designed to create a new kind of premium rental experience.

To welcome the arrival of 10 Degrees first tenants, Beam were commissioned by building operator, Greystar, to create a lighting experience that is both dynamic and beautiful.  Lighting the entire north elevation, Beam designed a series of stunning sequences with an hourly show element lasting a few minutes, followed by gentle illumination.  Intensity fades were used to accentuate the architectural features and to make the building appear to ripple.
